Week 1 & 2: Business Strategy & Measurement

Before we do anything in marketing, we need to create a plan of action. Where are we now, where do we want to be and how do we get there? Together, we’ll make a marketing strategy and we’ll get Google Analytics into shape so we can monitor success and understand what’s working well for your business.

Week 3: Branding & Tone of Voice

Does your branding feel all over the place? Got a logo but not thought any further than that? We’re going to show you why branding is so important and how to apply it to your business. We’ll also cover tone of voice so your business feels cohesive, no matter who is posting on social media or sending out emails!

Week 4: Audience & Competitors

Who are your competitors online? What are they doing well/poorly? Here’s how to audit them to find opportunities. We’ll also cover how to identify your digital audience (aka future customers) and how to resonate with them.

Week 5 & 6: Social Media & Creative Design

This module covers the four Ws of social media: What to post, When to post, Where to post and Why you’re posting in the first place. Together, we’ll create a social media strategy for your business and then we’re going to show you the stupidly easy way to design stunning images and videos for your Facebook, Instagram or wherever you’re posting. 

Week 7: Websites and Selling Online

If you have a website, is it working for you? Are customers easily navigating through it and taking the action you want them to? If not, there’s work to be done! We’re going to look at website design, customer journeys and user experience to help you understand why your website isn’t bringing in the results you expected it to and how to fix it.

Week 8 & 9: SEO (all things Google) & Local Marketing

Is your website no where to be seen in Google? Do you only pop up when people search your business name but NOT your services? Let’s talk all things Google and search engine optimisation. We’re also going to delve into local marketing, including how to appear for ‘[your service] near me’ searches.

Week 10: Email Marketing

Whether you’ve got email marketing set up or you’ve never even thought about it, by the end of this week you’ll be building your mailing list and understand the importance of speaking to your customers via email.

Week 11: Advertising

When you’re not meeting your marketing goals, the first thing people try to do is to throw money at the problem via Facebook ads. Guilty? Let’s go back to basics and understand the different types of advertising available to our businesses and why some will suit you better than others.

Week 12: Tools of the Trade

For our last session, we’ll discuss marketing tools that will make your life easier. These are the sneaky tools and software we’ve personally used over the years and some newly discovered ones (did someone say AI?).
